shakespeare´s life and works

Shakespeare was born in Stratford-upon-Avon in 1564. By 1592 he was working in London as an actor and dramatist. He wrote at least 37 plays and collaborated on several more. his plays were comedies, histories and trgedies. One of is most popular comedies is A Midsummer Night´s Dream. history plays are Henry V and Richard III. The most famous tragedy is Hamlet but we know other tragedies for example: Othello and King Lear.

He wrote poetry too. The Sonnets are the most popular. He published them in 1609.

In 1613 he retired from the theatre and returned to Stratford-upon-Avon, where he died in 1616
